A Mother Once More

Who are you, little child
That we've heard rumor of
Such a threat to the king
That he killed our flesh and blood
Trying to kill you
Oh who are you
Is your life worth so much more
That I should be a mother no more

Are you the one, little child
From prophesies of old
Is it you, little child
The King that is foretold
Is it true
Is it you
Are you the one we're waiting for
Cause I, am now a mother no more

Did you come to save us
Did you come to save us Lord
Are you the one we're waiting for
Cause I, am now a mother no more

Who are you, man betrayed
I once nursed in my arms
On a cross now you hang
I wonder, were we wrong
To follow you
Who are you
Is your cause worth dying for
Cause I, am now a mother no more

Did you come to save us
Did you come to save us Lord
Is your cause worth dying for
Cause I, am now a mother no more

Where were you, if you're God
When evil came
Where were you, if you're God
When he took my child away
Where were you
Who are you
If you're the God that does restore
Why, am I a mother no more

Did you come to save us
Did you come to save us Lord
If you're the God that does restore
Why, am I a mother no more

I'm with you, precious child
Let me hold your heart
I weep too, precious child
As your world falls apart
But I'm with you
I'm with you
I'm the God that will restore
And you, will be a mother once more

Yes He came to save us
He's coming back to raise us
To life forever more
And you, will be a mother once more

Things left undone
Words left upspoken
Time that's been lost
My heart is broken
Today
Sometimes we show up
A little too late

Where I have failed
Where I have lacked
Missed my chance
Fill in those gaps
God I pray
In spite of my failures
You're sovereign today

May not another day
Not another day go by
That I don't step out
Of my hiding place
And try
Try to show You
Live my life
That they may know You

Conviction

Atrocities, injustice
The weight of these could crush us
How should we live in light
Of what we know

To reconcile a balance
Let our blessings meet the challenge
To do what's right
And fight what's wrong

When truth exposes horror
And our hearts are brought to sorrow
There's no need waiting
For a call

But I've been watching helpless
The orphans and the oppressed
The problems great
And I'm so small

But helpless is not a word of the redeemed
The power of the Lord's within our means
When we receive Him
His heart aches for those in need
And He is on our side as we proceed
To love them

Guilty by association
Ignoring the abominations
Knowing bears the weight
To do

I will run from indecision
Will not wallow without vision
Jobs are many
But workers few

And helpless is not a word of the redeemed
The power of the Lord's within our means
When we receive Him
His heart aches for those in need
And He is on our side as we proceed
To love them
Oh help us love them

You Are

You are
In control of all of this
All the things that spin around
So wildly, I can't tame

You are
Overseeing all of this
All the things that seem amiss
Are not outside your reign

But I'm about to break
Under the weight of the unknown
It's hard for me to break
Free from the fear that fights you for you throne

But

You are
In control of all of this
All the things that spin around
So wildly, I can't tame

You are
Overseeing all of this
All the things that seem amiss
Are not outside your reign

who am i

i live a small life
you are a great god
i feel incapable
you can do anything

i have a little voice
not heard above the crowd
you shatter silence
with thunder and lightning

but who am i
who am i

who am i to say oh God
that what i have is not enough
for what you've called me to
created me to do
who am i to say

you love the least of these
you love a humble heart
and yet in spite of me
you would use me

i cannot claim a thing
all i have's been given
and i don't understand
why you might choose me

but who am i
who am i

who am i to say oh God
that what i have is not enough
for what you've called me to
created me to do
who am i to say

If our ways are not your ways, won't you thwart them
Confirm the steps we take so we are certain
If our hearts begin to stray
God bring us back to you
So we glorify your name in all we do

In you we move we breathe we have our being
May the fragrance that we raise to you be pleasing
A sacrifice to you
Our lives we freely give
May others know you Lord because of how we live

Out There

may you feel love
may you feel peace
may you feel surrounded
by the shelter of his wings

may you feel hope
that you can't explain
may you feel joy
in spite of all your pain

somewhere out there, so far from me
somewhere out there, you may be lonely
i shed a tear for what I don't know
but if i knew the raging river would flow
i'm protected here by what has yet been shown
but speed the day you come home

i want to hold you
i want to know you
i want to call you mine
one day i'll hold you
one day i'll know you
and one day you'll be mine

Waiting Song

God I trust you, but I am weary
Here I've stood with open arms but they're still empty
But I know that you are near the broken
So I will wait however long with my arms open

God I need you, when hope is fading
Here I've knelt with faithful heart but I'm still waiting
But I will cling to the words you've spoken
And I will wait however long with my arms open

I've been given a song to sing
And there may be many better
But this is my song to sing
So I will sing my song.
I've been given a song to sing
So perfection doesn't matter
Because this is my song to sing
So I will sing my song.

How many times
Do I think That it's unworthy
How many times
Do I think I shouldn't sing
But though I've tried I cannot be silent
Because I know that this song Is from my King.

Hold Them Tonight

A tiny pair of shoes
Left by a tiny girl
Who left much more than that at the door
He paid a tiny price
To have her in his hands
But it's something she'll never stop paying for

Won't you hold her tonight
Won't you hold her tonight
Won't you hold the world's children in your hands
Who don't have a voice
Who don't have a choice
Who don't have the strength in them to stand

A frightened little boy
With a tearstreaked dirty face
After his world came crashing down
He crawled from the dust
To a lonely, ruined place
Where his family can't be found

Won't you hold him tonight
Won't you hold him tonight
Won't you hold the world's children in your hands
Who don't have a voice
Who don't have a choice
Who don't have the strength in them to stand

Cries will not be heard
From this precious little babe
She won't have the chance to live her life
She'll barely take a breath
Will never take a step
For she was deemed as someone else's strife

Won't you hold her tonight
Won't you hold her tonight
Won't you hold the world's children in your hands
Who don't have a voice
Who don't have a choice
Who don't have the strength in them to stand

Thrown out on the street
It seems the only place to turn
Is to a life of crime
Bounced from home to home
Until he was too old
For no one ever chose to call him mine

Won't you hold him tonight
Won't you hold him tonight
Won't you hold the world's children in your hands
Who don't have a voice
Who don't have a choice
Who don't have the strength in them to stand

Soldier Song

I feared that there would come a time for this
I couldn't halt the moments passing though I tried
I don't know how to offer you this kiss
For with it comes indefinate goodbye

Won't you come home to me
Oh promise me
Cause I will never make it through unless I know
That you'll come home to me
Oh promise me
Or there's no way I can stand to watch you go

A greater cause is calling you away
But you will never be far from my heart
While I wait for you I will not cease to pray
That God will give us strength while we're apart

And that you'll come home to me
Oh promise me
Cause I will never make it through unless I know
That you'll come home to me
Oh promise me
Or there's no way I can stand to watch you go

I want to have strength for you
So you can do what you must do
But I feel like my world is spinning round
I know that this is not the end
I trust that you'll come back again
And that He'll carry us when we can't reach the ground

Til you come home to me
Oh promise me
Cause I will never make it through unless I know
That you'll come home to me
Oh promise me
Or there's no way I can stand to watch you go

Baby Girl

I breathe you in
You are so lovely
And kiss your skin
You are so sweet
You're in my arms
And yet you hold me
My heart so willing In defeat

And for you I'd do anything my dear
A selflessness That you have caused to grow
Though one day You may run away from here
And each day I'm just Preparing you to go

I hold you close
Yet not too tightly
Trying to trust The Father's plans
Loosen my grip
Yet ever slightly
For you are safer In His hands

And for you I'd do anything my dear
A selflessness That you have caused to grow
Though one day You may run away from here
And each day I'm just Preparing you to go
chasing fireflies on a summer night
watching the fire glow and cast it's light
the simple things that bring us back to life again
after the chaos that we've walked freely in

come with me into this dream
outside reality it seems
when morning beckons us to leave
let's take this peace with us

the words i love you falling on my ear
you always speak them, i only sometimes hear
but tonight i feel it deep within my soul
you are loved deeply too i hope you know

come with me into this dream
outside reality it seems
when morning beckons us to leave
let's take this peace with us

I'm Ready

The years have aged her face but not her soul.
With a wistful gaze she speaks of days of old.
Recalling how she fell in love, like only moments since had past.
And there's a longing in her eyes, for what in this life couldn't last.

And she says "I'm ready. I'm ready to go.
Ready to see my Savior's face. I'm ready to go."
And she says "I'm ready. Lord come take me home.
I'm ready to feel my Love's embrace. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go."

And there's a place we're going
Where healing will restore all that's been scarred
And there's a time that's coming
Where beauty will replace all that's been marred

She lived the truth with passion and with ease.
And when the world was sleeping she was on her knees.
A list of prayers for some she'd never even meet,
And a Bible in her hand for any stranger on the street.

And she said "I'm ready. I'm ready to go.
Ready to see my Savior's face. I'm ready to go."
And she said "I'm ready. Lord come take me home.
I'm ready to feel my Love's embrace. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go."

And there's a place we're going
Where healing will restore all that's been scarred
And there's a time that's coming
Where beauty will replace all that's been marred

She held my hand and looked into my eyes,
But there was no finality in our goodbyes.
She spoke a blessing then her spirit flew away.
She's with her Savior now, and I'll meet her there someday.

Beauty in This Day

There is beauty in this day
Even if I cry it through
Because it is a day You've made
And I am trusting You
On some days the sun will shine
Other days the storms will come
But there is beauty in this day
Even if there isn't sun

There is peace within my soul
Even when the storms rage on
And there is hope under these clouds
Even if there isn't sun
My hope is firm, my joy secure
Though at times my smile fades
Of this life we can't be sure
But You oh Lord, You never change

And there's a place we're going
Where healing will restore all that's been scarred
And there's a time that's coming
Where beauty will replace all that's been marred

When I look up at the sky
And clouds are all that I can see
Still my gaze I'll hold up high As I look towards eternity
And there's a song within my heart
I will sing it till You come
When we'll be caught up in the clouds
Finally to see the Son

And there's a place we're going
Where healing will restore all that's been scarred
And there's a time that's coming
Where beauty will replace all that's been marred

Who Am I to Say

this wasn't in my plans
not what I thought through
and I don't understand
why you do what you do
and sometimes you fall silent
I wonder where you are
but each time you have shown
you're never very far

so who am I to say, oh God
that what I have is not enough
for what you've called me to
created me to do
who am I to say
who am I to say, oh God
that I am not capable of
when it's not me it's you
who empowers me to do
who am I to say
when I look around
at the treasures abounding
that I could store up for myself
and let my mind wander
it quickly grows somber
that those things are not on my shelf

so instead, I'll remember
there's a world yet to come
though my cupboard is bare
it will never be there
and that's where I'm building my home
that's where I'm building my home

when I look around
at my humble surroundings
I won't think it isn't enough
for I've seen ornate walls
and fine splendid halls
pale next to the beauty of love

so instead I'll remember
what is greater than gold
when diamonds are dust
and these fine metals rust
I'll still have my treasure to hold
I'll still have my treasure to hold

Wyoming Sky

The Wyoming sky is wider
Than any sky I've ever known
And it's wide enough that 'neath it
Something new in me was grown
In a way that I have never known before
In a way that kept me coming back for more

The Wyoming stars are brighter
Than any stars that I've seen shine
And they're bright enough that 'neath them
Another heart found mine
In a way that I have never known before
In a way that kept me coming back for more

To a place
That's far away
I'd still call home
On any day
Cause in that place
I found something true
Underneath Wyoming's sky
I fell in love with you

The Wyoming land is wilder
Than any ground my feet have trod
And the wonders of it whisper
That there's no denying God
In a way that I have never known before
In a way that kept me coming back for more

The Wyoming nights are clearer
Than any nights that I have seen
And the clearness brings together
Both reality and dream
In a way that I have never known before
In a way that kept me coming back for more

To a place
That's far from here
But calls me back
Year after year
Cause in that place
I found something true
Underneath Wyoming's sky
I fell in love with you

Take Your Time

You think all there is to life is play.
Shoes and hat and you are on your way.
There's nothing in your path you fear.
With mom or dad standing near
You would conquer the whole world today.
But take your time. Take your time.

It can slip right through your hands before you know it's gone.
And what seems like forever, is never very long.
So take your time. Take your time.

You have tasted just a drop of pain.
You've yet to see the dark side of the rain.
There's so much in this life to learn
But every lesson has its turn
And you don't have to learn it all today.
So take your time. Take your time.

Because it can slip right through your hands before you know it's gone.
And what seems like forever, is never very long.
So take your time. Take your time.

And take every day and live it to the glory of His name.
Take everything and give it back to Him from whom it came.
Take every moment that you have and fill it up with praise.
And remember as your blessed with each new day
To take your time. Take your time.

Know I will do everything I can
To protect you as you grow to be a man.
After you lay down tonight I'll come make sure you're tucked in tight
But ultimatley you are in His hands.
So you can rest and close your eyes
For He will make the sun to rise
In the morning when it's time again.

Your words of wisdom help me see
through my flood of emotion
that there's a shore beyond these tears
that fall to form an ocean.
Though you would just assume to fall
you are standing strong to hold me
as we venture towards our fears
you still guide us boldly.
This may be the hardest thing
that we have yet to do
but even though it breaks our hearts
we still must see it through.
Today is hard, tomorrow harder
but a day soon will come
when we'll look back with peace
on the things that we have done.
Life goes on through joy and pain
and there's joy for us yet.
The pain that we are feeling now
time will soon forget.
So hold my hand, I need your strength,
we'll make it through together
and we'll be stronger on the other side
for all that we have weathered
It is often not til our worlds fall apart
That we land on our knees.
If is often not til our intentions fail
That you hear our pleas.
It is often not til we are on the ground
That you are raised where you should be.
And it's not that you weren't always there
It's just that we couldn't see.

And we can see more clearly from here
And we ask that this new vision stays
As we endure these harder times
And if we're blessed with brighter days.

Our voices have been too loud to pray
And our hearts to proud to fear.
But your arm is never too short to save
Or your ear too dull to hear.
So it doesn't matter now where we are
Or where we have been
Because your arm can reach down that far
And save us from our sin.

And we can see more clearly from here
And we ask that this new vision stays
As we endure these harder times
And if we're blessed with brighter days.
Sometimes all that I can do is hold you when you cry
Cause you just can't see why
You can't have what you desire.
Sometimes all that I can do is wipe the tears away
As they fall on your face
When you don't like what I say.

Cause you just can't see why.
You just can't see why.
But I want what's best for you.
I do.

So won't you trust me in the meantime?
Soon you'll blossom in the springtime.
It's been a long cold winter this I know
But soon the sun will shine and you will grow.

Sometimes all that I can do is ask you to trust me
For things that you can't see For what is yet to be.
You don't know it kills me too to hear you pleading so
When I have to say no. I have to say no.

Cause you just can't see why.
You just can't see why.
But I want what's best for you.
I do.

So won't you trust me in the meantime?
Soon you'll blossom in the springtime.
It's been a long cold winter this I know
But soon the sun will shine and you will grow.
Sometimes I feel like I'm falling apart
Just to hold it together
But if you would ask me how things are
I just might talk 'bout the weather

Though I'm falling
I'm desperately calling For someone to see
That I'm breaking
That this is taking The better of me

It's Not About Me After All

Spent so much time today
Wondering if I looked okay
Before I would walk out the door
Because it mattered so much I was sure.
And now I'm on my way
To the place where we will sing your praise
And I'm wondering what brought me here
To sing your praise Or for praise to hear.

But it's not about me after all
It's about you and the cross
And how you took the fall for us
Oh God.
It's not about me after all
It's about you and your name
And how we'll never be the same
Because of who you are
Because of who you are
It's not about me after all.

Spent so much time tonight
Wallowing in my own plight
Worried about poor little me
Because things weren't as I hoped they'd be.
Thought you would feel so bad
To see that I was feeling sad
But I didn't stop to wonder if
There was life beyond my hopelessness.

But it's not about me after all
It's about you and the cross
And how you took the fall for us
Oh God.
It's not about me after all
It's about you and your name
And how we'll never be the same
Because of who you are
Because of who you are
It's not about me after all.

Touch the Moon

I'm constantly amused
By the perspective of a child.
The world is so big
Yet it is so small.
You shrink back in fear
Then you are reckless and you're wild
And never stop to think
Who'll catch you if you fall.

So go ahead child you can touch the moon.
I won't be one to tell you not to try.
I remember standing there like you,
With my arms outstretched towards the sky.
And go ahead child you can reach your dreams.
But let the Lord define just what they are,
Because He will be the one to give you wings
To make you capable to fly that far.
