"Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song."

Your Grace will Hold Me
The sun is bursting forth from these dark clouds
Pink and yellow rays are burning down
And the brilliance makes me turn my eyes away
Yet I wonder how it pales next to your face
I feel that in this moment, I'm surrounded by your love
And the answer to my searching, is that you're enough
In your presence all else fades away
And though I can't see the path that I should take
I know your grace will hold me
I know your grace will hold me
I know your grace will hold me all the way
I've been wondering where to go from here
Left things undone in negligence and fear
And I worry that I've wasted too much time
Caught up in my selfishness and pride
But you bend toward what it broken
And you come invade my mess
And I know that in my wanderings, you never left
In your presence all else fades away
And though I can't see the path that I should take
I know your grace will hold me
I know your grace will hold me
I know your grace will hold me all the way
To the deepest depths
To the darkest place
And further still
Your grace
To the broken heart
To the hidden shame
And further still
Your grace
In your presence all else fades away
And though I can't see the path that I should take
I know your grace will hold me
I know your grace will hold me
I know your grace will hold me all the way
Beautifully Bleak
Beautifully bleak
Open and bare
Nothing for miles
But landscape and air
And I feel alive
Yet I feel so small
In the beautifully bleak
Away from it all
The earth and the sky
The work of your hands
You spoke a word
And formed where I stand
And I feel alive
Yet I feel so small
In the beautifully bleak
Away from it all
And you
You see me here
Through the vastness of heaven
Somehow you're near
And before time began
You desired to know me
As part of your plan
You feed the birds
The flowers are clothed
With finer threads
Than a rich man can boast
You care for these
No matter how small
In the beautifully bleak
Away from it all
And you
You see me here
Through the vastness of heaven
Somehow you're near
And before time began
You desired to know me
As part of your plan
Open and bare
Nothing for miles
But landscape and air
And I feel alive
Yet I feel so small
In the beautifully bleak
Away from it all
The earth and the sky
The work of your hands
You spoke a word

Brokenness
Did you call us to this brokenness?
Did you lead us deep into this mess?
We thought we heard you loud and clear,
Never thought that we would end up here.
We weren't so naive to think it would never rain,
But the storming doesn't cease and when I call upon your name
I can't proclaim
To trust you'll bring us through.
Is this the mess you called us to?
Do you still have a plan for us?
Or will you leave us in the dust,
Of our lives as they come crashing down,
We call to you but you're not found.
We weren't so naive to think each day would shine,
But I haven't seen a single ray of hope in quite some time
And I confess,
I find it hard to trust,
That you still have a plan for us.
